Zakopane  and the Tatra Mountains
 
Two hour’s drive from Krakow one finds stunning views and pristine nature as well as the best skiing in winter and hiking, rock climbing, cave exploration, cycling, paragliding. The Tatra Mountains are the highest range of the Carpathian Mountains and lie along Poland’s border with Slovakia (National Park cover the whole of the Tatras both sides of the national border). Zakopane is the Polish Capital of winter sports, mountain tourism and polish highland culture. It is the best gateway to the whole Tatra area. The town abounds in varied hotels, inns, and boarding-houses, restaurants and cafes, shops and art galleries, sport facilities and nightclubs. All day excursion you will see the local wooden architecture and beautiful panorama over Tatra Mountains seen after taking funicular railway on Gubałowka hill. We will visit the charming wooden old parish church and the most unique cemetery in Poland. During the tour you can vsee the Tatra Museum or the village of Chochołow. After that you will also have enough time to walk down Krupowki Street for souvenir-shopping.
